In Kentucky, the sale, possession, or distribution of isolated or concentrated forms of 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH), is illegal.. How do I make sure this is not what I am getting? Is it the same as Kratom?

The simplest explanation is that if you can find in KY, you don't need to worry about it being 7-OH but the other simply way to know that 7-OH is a concentrate so it will not be in a ground dry leaf. Capsules will be identified as one of the four main varients of the Kratom leaf - look at the serving size (normally 2 caps on the label, even though most of that use Kratom take between 5-10 per dose).

If the serving size delivers anywhere between 1000mg and 1500mg, you can be confident it is not 7-OH because the concentrate is MUCH higher in MG/dose. That is why it is illegal in many states.

Ok ADMITTED IGNORANCE HERE because I have never bought "gas station Kratom" or 7-OH. But I believe that 7-OH is almost always a liquid preparation similar to 5 hour energy in its packaging. But either way, focus on the advice in paragraph one and you can't go wrong.

Also check out newhopebotanicals.com for a online source of only dry powder Kratom - not only do they not sell 7-OH, they won't ship their product to a state it is illegal in. I am not officially endorsing them or their product, but I have dealt with them before and have not personally gotten anything other than what they promised.

It's been my experience that the 7OH can be included in liquid form but the majority of it sold is tablet form as it is synthesized from the Kratom leaves and then boosted for potency and then pressed into tablets. Hope this helps.
