Good morning Dr. Mike. I have a personal question. 1st off I just want to say TY so much for your content. My doctor suddenly past away. He was my PCP. I wondering if you still accepting new patients? I'm not in your area right this minute. But am willing to relocate. There is such a shortage of doctors that really care. As you know. Do you write for 3 months at time, or does it need to be monthly? The reason I'm asking is my kids live over 200 miles away, and I'm with them as much as possible. I have no interest to move to where they live. That's at the beach. That fast life pace isn't good for me. I do have some chronic health conditions that I deal with the best I possibly can. I just need a "HOME" base that I can unapologetically be myself. As I'm too brutally honest. So I'm told. However that's the only way I'm going to be. With my doctor we had that connection. I'm asking for not only your advice, but if your office is accepting new patients. Yes it might take me little while to move and get there. But not long. Definitely in a timely manner. As I need a PCP by September. Thank you. And hopefully hear back

from you soon🙏❤️
Dear Moving for Medicine: I cannot be seen encouraging anyone to move to me for the purpose of medication security, partially because I don't now enough about your clinical needs to "promise" what I will or won't do.
However, this is the United States, you can move anywhere you want to and all I will say is that my 14 county coverage area for new patients is FIRM. I will repeat it here, it doesn't matter if you can stand on your back porch and pee into my coverage area, your address must be in one of the 14 counties serviced by our clinics. Also, understand that your insurance and ID must also agree that you live in our coverage area. Also, as it relates to C2 level controlled medications, when they are clinically appropriate, we require monthly visits.
I am so very sorry of you losing your cherished PCP, it would have been nice to have met someone who obviously took great care of his patients. In the event we get to meet face to face, I look forward to that time. Love you, No buts - Dr Mike.

Steve Hyde,
Wow that one line hit me in the gut. “Something else is already wrong if you are already afraid”
